The work happens.
Then it remains.
Carlo Buzzi intervenes in urban space using the tools of advertising. The poster encounters the city, photography records its presence, and formalisation preserves its traces.

The image enters the city.

A shared space.
An unexpected encounter.
Posters and installations become part of everyday places. The intervention adopts the formats of advertising, bringing artistic enquiry into the system of public communication.
In 2026, one hundred posters of Il secondo mago were displayed for thirty days across nine municipalities in Terra dei Fiumi.

Recording
a presence.
Photography documents the poster in its surroundings: the architecture, the other messages and the space around it. The image of the intervention retains a connection to the place and time in which it took place.
Documentation becomes part of the work’s development and may become an element of its formalisation.
Formalisation
The trace takes shape.
From the intervention
to the formalised work.
Torn posters and photographs bring the memory of the public action into the work. In the formalised works of Il secondo mago, Decollage is combined with photographic documentation of the poster display: material and image bear witness to the same intervention.
